Gay Sex is Okay, but Multiple Spouses is Not?!

A Presidential candidate was recently booed off a stage for implying that gay marriage was worse than polygamy. They are both sins in the eyes of God, but which one is worse? Biblically speaking, there are worse sins than others. Lying to your mother about eating the cookie from the cookie jar is clearly worse the killing six million Jews in the Holocaust. Equally, sexual sin varies in severity as well. For example, having sex before marriage is certainly a sin. Having sex with an animal is worse than having sex with an adult partner of the opposite sex before marriage. As unpleasant as it may be to read this, it is true.

So when Senator Santorum said that homosexuality was worse than polygamy, was he correct?

The answer is yes, he is correct. As many of our laws still say, it (homosexuality) is a "crime against nature". Think about it. It is quite an unpleasant thought.

City to Pay Gays to Offset Tax

Mass. city to pay wedded gay workers to offset tax - Boston.com: "When the city of Cambridge issues paychecks to its public employees, nearly two dozen workers find a federal tax on their income that their colleagues don’t have to pay.
Like many people, these 22 school and city workers chose to put their spouses on their employer-provided health insurance. Because they’re in a homosexual relationship, the value of that health coverage is considered taxable income by the federal government.
But starting this month, Cambridge will become what is believed to be the first municipality in the country to pay its public employees a stipend in an attempt to defray the cost of the federal tax on health benefits for their same-sex spouses."
Not only are we going bankrupt as a society, but we are going morally bankrupt. This reminds one of the passage in Romans that states that not only do they do the same but also approve of those who practice them. Not only are they approving of their activities, but they are subsidizing them as well. We are about to implode. No  money, no morals, no future. Those that still understand that the basis of our society is our moral underpinnings must soon change our society radically. This just does not seem possible other than a divine intervention.

Atheist Clubs in School?

Student Opinion Question | Would People Join an 'Atheist Club' in Your School? - NYTimes.com: "Would People Join an ‘Atheist Club’ in Your School?

From the New York Times - It is apparently a valid question whether there should be atheist clubs in school. This is a surprising question since there are all kinds of decadent clubs in our schools today including even sanctioned homosexual clubs. Many school kids join these clubs even though they are not homosexual. They merely want to show their support to those who are. Gone are the days of a negative stigma of such a lifestyle.  Now atheists too want their own club. One must ask, to what end? What is the purpose for such a club. It is perplexing why there are organizations centered around atheists at all. Why do they care if some believe in a higher power? Why are they eager to get more converts to non-belief? It must be the same reason a local drug dealer wants to obtain more converts. It  makes them feel better and it could even line their pockets. It is still a baffling question.

The new push for atheist clubs in school will meet little resistance. If local families hear that such a club is forming, they will merely shrug it off and move on with their lives as our society spirals down to the depths of immorality and selfish-idolatry.

High School Wrestler Harkens Back to Older and Better Times

High school wrestler refuses to take on a girl - The Boston Globe: "An Iowa high school wrestler who was one of the favorites to win his weight class defaulted on his first-round state tournament match rather than face one of the first girls to ever qualify for the event.

“I have a tremendous amount of respect for Cassy and Megan and their accomplishments,’’ Northrup wrote. “However, wrestling is a combat sport, and it can get violent at times. As a matter of conscience and my faith, I do not believe that it is appropriate for a boy to engage a girl in this manner. It is unfortunate that I have been placed in a situation not seen in most other high school sports in Iowa.’’
There was a time when a man would hold a door open for a woman. He would go out of his way to make sure she was treated with respect and courtesy. There was a time when men went to war to protect women and children back home. There as a time when a polite society expected men to be men and women to be women. Those days are over.

Now, girls can participate in a sport that is essentially a fight between two combatants. The girls that participate in these activities should be commended. They are strong and brave to do such a thing. Few people, even boys, can or will do this. These girls are only being what society expects them to be - boys.

Gone are the days of chivalry, honor, and duty. We send women to fight for us in our wars. We send them out to make money to pay for our shelter and our food, so we can have a better lifestyle. Most are very good at what they do and in many cases even exceed the ability of men. The problem comes when those of the "old fashion" era bump up against the expectations of the new age.

Kudos for the girl to be so brave and kudos for the young man who is actually a gentleman and would never think of touching a girl in such a manner. May it never be so among us.

Is Enimem the Best Representative of Detroit?

The concept in this video about Detroit it great. You just have to look here for another of Chrysler's videos to see that. However, is Enimem the best spokesman that Detroit could come up with? The guy is certainly talented and his personal story compelling, but his music is filled with filth. The same commercial could have been produced with a much better person to represent the City and the manufacturing comeback of the US.

Decline is Inevitable

Entropy: Inevitable and steady deterioration of a system or society.

Our world is one in which we must work continuously against the ever present demands of constant deterioration. We mow our lawns, keep our gardens, reconcile our bank accounts always working, always struggling. If we take a break, it builds up around us like a slow tide that will soon wash us out to sea. If we wait too long to work against it, sometimes it seems as though it will completely overwhelm us. That is our nature. The college student takes a few weeks off from studying and finds that there is a great deal of work to do to catch up. The road worker neglects some of the streets in town and the entire street needs to be scrapped and an entirely new one built in its place. A society forgets it first principles and soon entropy sets in and that society is on the brink of disaster either from outside forces or from an internal decay that has set in while it rested.

History has shown that when one country is weakened, it is eventually replaced by another stronger nation that has not neglected the necessary work to stave off the decay. God. Duty. Honor. What are these? What happens when an entire world succumbs to the temptation and forgets that work needs to be done? First principles, the foundation of a country - remember what they were. Work to find them and build them back up again. Fight the decay from within and reestablish the foundation that will withstand the attacks from without.

The Sliding Scale of Morality and Law

1 Corinthians 10:12 For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.

If our laws and our morals as a society are not grounded in something that does not change, then what we believe to be acceptable at one time will certainly change over time. Anyone can see this as they reflect on those activities that were prohibited years ago. It is the same concept when one hears that we should be led by the “first principles” when referring to the constitution of the United States. The founders of this country believed that if we strayed too far from these first principles, the state of the union would be in jeopardy. Equally, our Creator has dictated that if we stray from His First Principles, we too, as as society and individually, are in jeopardy.

Below is a listing of those state statutes that are repealed or were put into law years ago and are being completely ignored today:
