The latest in a series of decisions shows the disdain the current administration has for US law. Now, American Indians can use bald eagle feathers. That does not seem so bad as long as they are not hunting them down and killing them. Perhaps they find them on the ground or in other locations. Not disturbing the eagles' nesting habits and disrupting their habitat is fairly reasonable. The problem is that having Bald Eagle feathers is against the law. President Obama's Justice department has set a new policy that they will not enforce that part of the law. They are, in essence, acting by fiat. Picking and choosing which laws are good and which ones are not so good. This is similar to the administration not enforcing immigration laws in Arizona or looking the other way when the New Black Panther party intimidated voters in 2008. The United States is a country with laws that are passed by the Congress to be enforced by whatever administration is in power. It is not their place to pick and choose which one to follow or enforce. This is a republic, not a monarchy.

Decriminalize Homosexuality
ABC News' Kirit Radia reports: The Obama administration said today it will sign on to a United Nations declaration calling for the decriminalization of homosexuality around the world.

The move is a reversal of the position taken by the Bush administration, which refused to sign onto the document when it was first circulated late last year. It has already been endorsed by 66 other countries, including the entire European Union, Japan, Australia, and Mexico.

$1 Trillion Question: Who Will Buy President Obama's Budget - ABC News: "President Obama is poised to release his budget plan for next year, but don't expect it to make many Americans happy -- even though the White House tells ABC News that it will cut the deficit more than $1 trillion over the next decade.

Really? Do we even remember last year's budget? Has the budget from a previous year EVER guided the spending in the next? To foist such folly on the American public is ridiculous. Too bad most every President does it.

So I received a breaking news alert from CNN today. Apparently, the Obama administration is going issue another $600,000,000.00 stimulus to kick-start our economy. This time, the Federal Reserve is going to buy our bonds. Another words, one "part" of our government (if you can call the Federal Reserve that - really a consortium of banks) is going to buy the debt of the other part of our government. This last ditch effort to stimulate our economy continues to put us on the road to where Greece is today or where Germany was before WWII.

Why does President Obama want a civilian national security force that is just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded as our military?

It would take about five months to restore order in many of the societies. Grasses and natural plants and animals would also be a prime commodity. Many of the governments would protect these remaining areas at all costs.

Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man. {6} In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them. {7} The shape of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle. These "locusts" describe in detail the way a military helicopter would look to someone in ancient Israel. The crown, the breastplate of iron, and the sound of chariots is as good a description as one could expect. These would have to be some kind of manmade device, for locusts do not exist like this in nature. 

Also notice how Joel describes these same "locusts". Could real locusts really do this?

Update - Now our president can be seen with Brazilian President, Dilma Rousseff, who in her youth was arrested as a marxist rebel. Should the President of the United States embrace this type of person? Apparently, he see no problems with his associations.









Can anyone imagine Ronald Reagan or even Lyndon Johnson appearing on a comedy show such as Jon Stewart's Daily Show? A president had not even appeared on late night talk shows such as Johnny Carson's until President Obama appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on March 19, 2009.

Response to oped:
In the Reverend Paul Downie’s July 3 opinion article, he tells us that Barak Obama is a beautiful Christian. However the Reverend’s premise is based on Obama’s words that there are “many paths” to God. If this is correct, then all of these “paths” must be true. Does that make sense? Are all religions around the world true? Buddhism does not believe in God at all; Mormons believe we (they) will be gods of their own planets; Muslims believe that Allah is the one true God and that Muhammad is his prophet; Scientologists believe that we are all “thetans”-immortal spirits with unlimited powers we are not all aware of; and Hindus believe in perpetual reincarnation until we reach “Nirvana”. I could go on. Are these all true? They are, in fact, contradictory. And they are in direct opposition to Christianity which is quite exclusive. The Reverend cites John 14:6 which says that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. No one goes to the father except through him. The Reverend says that this exclusive statement depends upon how it is heard. Actually it depends on how it was said and who said it. There are many other exclusive statements in the Christian bible. A simple test is Jesus’ own prayer just before going to the cross. He prays that if there were any other way, to let this event pass. But, there was no other way. Jesus had to endure the cross, bear the brunt of God’s wrath for our sins, die and overcome death for our sakes. If this was not necessary, if one could believe in Muhammad, Buddah, Moronia, whomever or whatever, then God the Son would not have had to pay such a terrible and horrific price. No other religion has a solution for the consequences of our sins. Only Christianity has a Savior - who still saves even today. Reverend Downie, please read Galatians 1:8.
