Glenn Beck Scrubs His Faith from His Programs and His Books

Much like the rest of his programs, Glenn Beck has scrubbed all but the slightest traces of his Mormon faith from the new book series he is promoting, Wrath and Righteousness. According to the Wall Street Journal, the books have been edited down to a series of 10 e-books "while cutting the references to Mormon scripture and gospel beliefs.” He knows and PRT knows that if he goes too Mormon on us, many will stop watching and listening. It's too bad more do not know their own faith well enough to spot a counterfeit.

To make matters worse, Beck described the new book series multiple times as "divinely inspired". Most Christians should cringe at such a statement. However, Beck is completely okay with other books being divinely inspired since he believes in a whole new set of books other than the Holy Bible, called the Book of Mormon. "Divinely inspired" 5/9 3rd Hr

Mr. Beck knows his politics, but he is being deceptive when it comes to his own faith.

Conquest 1453

Is 1453 a date that you often think about? Is it one of those dates in history that will live on in our heart and minds? Have you ever heard of the date? Likely the answer is no. However, this is not the case in Turkey. Remember. Turkey is really the remnants of the old Ottoman Empire. It took a World War to finally collapse that Empire. Modern day Turkey, especially under Prime Minister Erdogan, would like to resurrect the old system. Their stance on Israel has taken a marked turn for the worse. They are increasingly hostile to the West. And now, there is a blockbuster film dedicated to the defeat and annihilation of their ancient enemy, the Byzantines. The film is called Fetih 1453, or Conquest 1453 for Western audiences. This date marked the final destruction of the Western Roman Empire, a Christian Empire, albeit with its many faults.

The fact that Turkey has created what is for them a big budget movie glorying its destruction illustrates its importance. It should also be important to the West. It shows that we are willing to allow Islam to spread without consequence. Up until that date, Byzantium battled back and forth, first with Persia and then with Islam, to retain its territory and the people that went with that territory. Now, the former Christian lands in the Middle East are virtually all Muslim. War is indeed hell, but sometimes war is necessary to hold back the hounds of hell that want to destroy you in this life and in the life to come. Take back Constantinople!

Talking Points - Christianity

Ever get in a conversation about religion or politics, the only meaningful conversations, and get asked what you like or dislike about a person or topic, but just can't verbalize all the reasons? We've all been there. Here are a few talking points on Christianity that are brief enough to remember during those "moments".

Why God Exists
  1. Everything that exists has a cause. Infinite regress is impossible. Therefore, there must be a first cause.
  2. The universe appears to have a design. Therefore, there must be a designer.
  3. There are morals that guide us (laws). Therefore, there must be a law giver.
Why the Bible is the Word of God
  1. Consistency - Different authors, different cultures, different centuries, but the Bible is consistent throughout.
  2. It has the most surviving copies of any ancient text - over 24,000
    • Plato has only 7 copies
    • Aristotle has on 49 copies of any one work
    • Homer (Iliad) has the most at 643 copies
  3. Stood the test of two millenia of critics
Why Jesus is God
  1. Fulfillment of scripture
  2. The Apostles - They were transformed from a few frightened men to individuals who died for One whom they believed to be God. No one would die for a lie.
  3. Transformation of the World - The teachings of a young rabbi in an obscure part of the world is still taught and believed today by a large percentage of the world's population.

Glenn Beck, the Oval Office, and the White Horse Prophecy

First, a little background. We all know Glenn Beck and what the Oval Office is, but what on earth is the White Horse prophecy and what does it have to do with the aforementioned Beck? The White Horse prophecy is purported to be the prophetic utterances of Joseph Smith, the founder of the Mormon religion. You see, Mormons hold the Constitution of the United States in high esteem as we all should. However, as much as we believe it may be one of the best documents ever penned by uninspired man, they tend to think it is a bit more than that. This is where the prophecy comes in.

When the United States is going through dramatic turmoil and the Constitution "hangs by a thread"; "When the people shall have torn to shreds the Constitution of the United States the Elders of Israel will be found holding it up to the nations of the earth and proclaiming liberty and equal rights to all men", at that time, Mormonism, or a Mormon, will save the Country and restore it. Who will these Mormons be? Perhaps a President (Joseph Smith ran for President) or perhaps it will be a charismatic speaker who will turn the hearts and minds of the people to its first principles.

Does Beck want to be President? Probably not. Is he an egomaniac picturing himself as President by purchasing an "Oval Office" from the JFK movie set? Maybe. Or is he a committed Mormon seeing his country spiral down to the point that it is "hanging by a thread" and he will be the one who will bring us back. He has many good ideas and the fundamentals he espouses are quite altruistic. We should follow them. But his ideology are not purely (or at all) Christian. One will not detect the doctrines of his church when he speaks. He keeps those very much in the shadows while espousing thoroughly orthodox Christian values. Who is he? Is he his words or is he what he says he is, a Mormon. Research what Mormons believe. Research the White Horse Prophecy. Listen to Beck's words through the prism of his church rather than his actual words and you may get a slightly different agenda than you thought.

Isis - Cellphone Payments

Six handset makers back Isis NFC payment: Cell phone makers are combining resources in an effort to standardize near field communications (NFC) in order to further their efforts to make payments with their devices. Recently, PRT reported that Sweden was the first country to contemplate a cashless economy. Along with these reports, there have been multiple examples of the strides being made to make the United States and the rest of the world cashless as well. It is inevitable. Paper is outdated and inefficient. Using a cellphone to make payments is only one more cog in the machinery that is already set in motion. There will be cashless economies and it will be controlled by one who will use it for nefarious purposes. Just keep watching.
