From the New York Times - It is apparently a valid question whether there should be atheist clubs in school. This is a surprising question since there are all kinds of decadent clubs in our schools today including even sanctioned homosexual clubs. Many school kids join these clubs even though they are not homosexual. They merely want to show their support to those who are. Gone are the days of a negative stigma of such a lifestyle. Now atheists too want their own club. One must ask, to what end? What is the purpose for such a club. It is perplexing why there are organizations centered around atheists at all. Why do they care if some believe in a higher power? Why are they eager to get more converts to non-belief? It must be the same reason a local drug dealer wants to obtain more converts. It makes them feel better and it could even line their pockets. It is still a baffling question.
The new push for atheist clubs in school will meet little resistance. If local families hear that such a club is forming, they will merely shrug it off and move on with their lives as our society spirals down to the depths of immorality and selfish-idolatry.
